THE TRIP
DAY 1
Arrive in Siem Reap – Orientation
Upon arrival you will meet our local representative who will take you to your hostel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax or explore exciting Siem Reap! Take a dip in the hostel pool or get a massage to relax after your traveling.
DAY 2
Siem Reap – Angkor
Depart at 5:30am in the morning for the sunrise at the temples of Angkor in Tuk Tuks. After sunrise, walk across the road and be first at the fabulous jungle temple of Ta Prohm. This evening we invite you to join a small sunet BBQ/light dinner with a couple of beers at a local Khmer home.
DAY 3
Siem Reap – Tonle Sap Exploring – Phare Circus
This afternoon, we explore the great lake of Tonle Sap checking out the local life with a visit to the Floating Village of Kompong Khleang or Kampong Phluk. Colorful settlements are scattered on the margins of the great lake and it will be our pleasure to take you to our favorite spots. We will add some colorful markets into the mix as well for a great photography opportunity. This evening at 7PM, your tuk tuk driver will collect you and take you to Phare.
DAY 4
Siem Reap – Visit & Volunteer Elephant Sanctuary
Today is elephant day!
This morning at 8AM you will be picked up from your hostel and head to the Sanctuary. By volunteering at the Elephant Sanctuary Cambodia, you will help regenerate the jungle habitat of the endangered Asian elephant. Tree planting, seed collecting and trail-making are just some of the responsibilities you´ll have. It’s not often you can participate in a project that is literally at a grass-roots level.
DAY 5
Volunteer Elephant Sanctuary – Siem Reap
After a vegetarian breakfast, start your busy morning by preparing food for the elephants, planting trees and assisting with teaching some very basic English to some locals.
DAY 6
Departure Siem Reap
Time to say farewell after an amazing trip! We hope that you have enjoyed this tour. We wish you a safe onwards journey.
